Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add sliced onions, gram flour, red chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the onions with the spices and gram flour.

Add a little water at a time to the mixture, stirring well, until you get a thick batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the onions evenly.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil, making sure to coat the onions evenly.

Fry the onion pakoras in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally.

Remove the pakoras from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.

Serve the onion pakoras hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
