Fried Manchurian Balls with a twist
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon grated garlic
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Oil for deep frying
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves
For the twist
1. In a large bowl, mix together the chopped cabbage, grated carrots, chopped onions, chopped bell peppers, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, grated ginger, grated garlic, red chili flakes, soy sauce, and salt.
2. Using your hands, mix everything together until well combined. The mixture should come together and form small balls.
3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, drop the balls into the hot oil, and fry until golden brown and crispy.
4. Remove the balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
5. In a small bowl, mix together Sriracha sauce and honey to make a spicy and sweet dipping sauce.
6. Serve the fried manchurian balls hot with the spicy honey sauce on the side. Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves.
