Urad Dal ke Pakode recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup urad dal
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
1. Wash and soak urad dal in water for at least 4 hours.
2. Drain the water and grind the urad dal to a smooth paste using a mixer grinder or a food processor.
3. Transfer the urad dal paste to a mixing bowl.
4. Add chopped onion, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, and salt to the bowl.
5. Mix everything together until well combined.
6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.
7. Take small portions of the mixture with a spoon and drop them gently into the hot oil.
8. Fry the pakoras until they turn golden brown and crispy.
9. Remove the pakoras from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
10. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
